The first South Tacoma Business District Mixer of 2024 brought together local business owners, community leaders, and residents for an evening of insightful discussions and community building. Held at Edison Square, the event was a platform for local businesses to share their experiences and ideas, discuss how the South Tacoma Business District Association (STBDA) can better support their growth, and brainstorm exciting upcoming events.
Attendees also received important updates from government representatives and local organizations about ongoing projects and issues impacting the South Tacoma community. These conversations are key to fostering a collaborative spirit and ensuring that South Tacoma continues to thrive.
Adding to the evening's success, Radnor's, a brand new restaurant located within Edison Square, provided a delicious spread for the event. Guests enjoyed smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and beignets, giving them a taste of what Radnor's has to offer. Slated for its grand opening next month, Radnor's promises to become one of Tacoma's go-to spots for family-friendly dining during the day, lively events and entertainment in the evening, and late-night bites on the weekends.
The event would not have been possible without the contributions of several key figures:
- Anneka Olsen with the South Tacoma Way Neighborhood Plan
- TPD South Sector Commander Lt. Shawn Malott
- Tacoma Council Member Jamika Scott
- Tacoma Council Member Joe Bushnell
- Senator Steve Conway
- Lua Pritchard, Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC)
A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a success. Together, we're shaping a brighter and more vibrant future for South Tacoma!
